At the end of the season 2008/9 his made his professional debut on loan at Cheltenham, and 2009/10 was a breakthrough year for him, making his Reading debut and also loaned out to Southampton, scoring a number of important goals, including a very impressive strike in their Johnstone's Paint Trophy final victory at Wembley, a remarkable achivement for a youngster who had come from non-League to the biggest stage in England in less than two years.
Started the 2010/11 campaign back at Reading and scored the winner in our pre-season friendly victory over Wolves.
